Collaborate with Us as an Independent Wikipedia Editor
Reputation X prepares thoroughly researched editing packages and invites qualified Wikipedia editors to independently review them. You decide whether to participate. Your editorial judgment remains entirely your own.
What We Provide
Reputation X conducts in-depth research and compiles detailed editing briefs — nothing more.
Research Packages
We compile deeply researched editing packages that document available sources, relevant Wikipedia policies, and specific content concerns identified through our analysis.
Issue Identification
Our packages identify potential concerns such as non-neutral point of view, undue weight, biased language, sourcing gaps, structural issues, and other policy-related matters.
Open Invitation
Independent editors are invited to review these packages and decide for themselves whether they wish to make any improvements. There is no obligation.
How the Collaboration Model Works
A structured, transparent process built around editorial independence.
Research & Brief Preparation
Reputation X conducts comprehensive research and prepares a detailed editing brief. This brief documents sources, potential policy concerns, and relevant background.
Editors Review the Brief
Qualified independent editors receive the research package for review. Editors are never instructed exactly what to write, and they are never compelled to accept any project. Participation is entirely voluntary.
Free to Accept or Decline
Each editor independently decides whether the project is one they wish to engage with. There are no penalties for declining, and no pressure to proceed. Editors may accept, decline, or simply not respond.
Editorial Decisions Remain with the Editor
We understand that your account is your account. All editing decisions remain entirely at the discretion of the independent editor. If an editor chooses to engage, they determine what edits — if any — are appropriate, or warranted.
Our Commitment to Making Wikipedia Better
Reputation X strongly supports Wikipedia's core content policies. Our research packages are prepared with these standards in mind.
Neutral Point of View
All Wikipedia articles should represent significant viewpoints fairly, proportionately, and without bias. Our briefs specifically flag NPOV concerns for editor review.
Verifiability
Content must be attributable to reliable, published sources. Our research focuses on identifying and documenting verifiable sources that meet Wikipedia's standards.
Reliable Sourcing
We identify independent, third-party sources that demonstrate the subject's notability and factual record, consistent with Wikipedia's reliable sourcing guidelines.
Undue Weight
We flag areas where coverage may be disproportionate relative to the subject's actual significance, helping editors identify potential undue weight concerns for their independent assessment.
Biographies of Living Persons
BLP standards require particular care with claims about living individuals. Our packages are prepared with heightened sensitivity to BLP requirements.
Editor Responsibility
Independent editors are solely responsible for ensuring any edits they choose to make comply with Wikipedia's policies and community consensus. Editors bring their own judgment and expertise to every decision.
Eligibility Requirements
We seek experienced, policy-fluent editors who are active and in good standing within the Wikipedia community.
Active & In Good Standing
You must be an active Wikipedia editor in good standing with no current blocks, bans, or sanctions imposed by the Wikimedia community.
Minimum 500 Edits
Applicants must have made at least 500 edits on Wikipedia, demonstrating a meaningful track record of content contributions.
Policy Familiarity
Editors should demonstrate familiarity with policy-based editing, including content policies such as NPOV, V, NOR, BLP, and experience with talk page discussions and dispute resolution.
Comfortable with Research Briefs
Editors should be comfortable reviewing detailed research briefs and evaluating source quality and policy relevance independently.
Contribution & Recognition Model
Reputation X does not pay editors. We recognize participation through charitable giving.
Reputation X does not pay independent Wikipedia editors directly. Editors participate entirely on a voluntary basis and remain fully autonomous at all times.
When an editor independently chooses to engage with a project, Reputation X makes a donation to a recognized charitable organization as a gesture of appreciation for the time and expertise involved in reviewing our research. These donations are made solely by Reputation X or third-party entities and do not constitute compensation for editing services.
Example Charitable Recipients

Editorial Autonomy Is Absolute
The following principles define every aspect of how this program operates.
- Reputation X does not directly control editorial outcomes.
- Editors decide whether to participate. There is no obligation or pressure to accept any project.
- Editors determine what edits are appropriate (it's your account after all).
- Community standards and unbiased editorial consensus take precedence over any brief we produce.
- Editorial autonomy remains entirely with the independent editor.
