Personal reputation repair overview
When it comes to personal reputation management, it is essential to take a proactive approach. Personal reputation management is a combination of reputation repair executed along with personal branding. This means not only creating and promoting positive content about yourself online but countering negative coverage too.
One basic way to do this is by creating profiles on popular platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. In addition to social media, another great way to promote positive content about yourself is through press coverage. If you have been featured in any articles, news stories, or interviews, share these on your personal website or blog. This will help to show the world that you are a thought leader in your industry.
One of the most important aspects of personal reputation management is creating content that positions you as an expert in your field. This can be achieved by writing blog posts, articles, or even books that focus on your area of expertise. By sharing your knowledge with others, you will be able to build a positive reputation that will last for years to come.
Of course, doing the above effectively involves a lot of work and resources. For example, most people cannot earn a Wikipedia page without significant online coverage (known as references). On its own, building a LinkedIn following requires about four hours per day. Add interviews, podcasts, search engine optimization, sentiment analysis, and monitoring, and a campaign can become overwhelming. That's where Reputation X steps in.
We help individuals build and amplify the way they are seen online. We craft reputation management strategies that remove or reduce the visibility of negative online content while developing and promoting positive things.

A less serious issue might be a single negative in a local publication. Compare this to a more serious problem with multiple negative articles, or where one or more are in national publications like the New York Times or Fox News. The latter situation is much more challenging, so it requires more resources and frequently more time to solve.
Reputation repair for a person generally begins to bear fruit after 60-90 days, though it can take six months or longer to clean up an issue. However, if negative content can be removed either from search engines or at the source, results will be much faster.
A typical reputation improvement campaign for an individual will need content approvals, one or more interviews, some photography (usually headshots), but not much else. Reputation X does the vast majority of the work. There is usually one or more meeting per month via Zoom, and most communication from our Project Managers takes place over email.
